About This Pen

Wahl, in their efforts to keep up with the bigger brands in the late 1920s, came out with new models almost every year. Their brand of celluloid was called Pyroxaline, and it first appeared in 1928 in coral, blue, and jade to accompany their continuing use of black hard rubber. This pen, which does not appear to have a model name, only stock number, is one of those, in jade. It is a lady’s ringtop, in very nice condition although its ring is missing. It is a sweet little pen, just over 3 ½” long capped, with a #2 Wahl Signature nib. It writes a very nice fine line, with moderate flex and some feedback.
