About This Model
Matador was a German brand of office supplies, begun before 1900 in Germany. They are credited with manufacturing a safety pen as early as 1911, and developed a reputation of making good-very good quality pens at relatively low prices. In 1956-49 they produced the first "click" cap, a snap cap that held; for them it was called the Matador Click. They produced a range of models, including Matador Dipless, Standard, 811, Acca, Turbo-Matador.
