Eggens-Hambler

late 1920s

About This Pen

This Eggens-Hambler ringtop is presumably from the late 1920s, in orange hard rubber. It is 4½” long, and while it shows its age, it is in largely unblemished condition. There is a bit of swelling just below the ringtop, caused by 90 years of pressure of the crown’s fit into the cap. It appears to be completely stable, with another 90 years work ahead. The imprint is complete and easily read. The nib is E-H branded and is 14K, a size 2. It writes a nice wet fine/medium line with a fair amount of flex.
